What we're about:

We are a student run chapter of the nationally recognized Wildlife Society and welcome all students interested in wildlife, natural science, or the environment in general. The society explores opportunities available in regards to recreational field trips, professional development, educational workshops, and community and environmental service projects that appeal to a variety of student interests. The club hosts guest speakers at almost every meeting whose topics vary from wildlife biology to conservation management to outdoor recreation from organizations such as The Pennsylvania Game Commission, The Ruffed Grouse Society, and Shaver's Creek Environmental Center. The Wildlife Society strives to combine opportunities for professional development, community service, and recreation with the ultimate goal of increasing the interest, education, and experiences of its members. Activities have included a block shoot, assisting the Pennsylvania Game Commission with bear check stations, visiting the PSU deer pens, numerous habitat restoration projects, bird watching trips, herpetology outings, owl banding, and a radio telemetry seminar, just to name a few. Members also have the chance to attend state and national conferences and to compete in the annual TWS Quiz Bowl.

If you're interested, stop in during one of our bi-weekly meetings and check us out or contact one the officers if you have any questions.  For meeting information see the homepage or visit http://clubevents.cas.psu.edu/
