Hey, Waste Not-ers! A few things I'd like to bring to your attention since we won't be having another group meeting for a couple weeks yet. First, we still would like to advertise a little bit before the end of the school year so we can have a large turnout at our last meeting of the semester, so if you would like to help out with hanging fliers/handing out info cards in the next couple weeks, let me know.

Next, I want to update on the food bank day of service. I'm going to shore up an available Saturday afternoon with the food bank and I'll update everyone when I do so we can figure out who is definitely going to help out that day. It will hopefully be either April 9th or the 16th.

Finally, we need to choose a new President before the end of the year, and it will be a promotion of one of our existing officers. In essence, the vacated position will also need to be filled. If you're at all interested in helping Waste Not to come back bigger and better next year, let me know. The open position isn't certain yet, but any position is a huge help to the organization (and also a great resumé builder!).

Hello, Waste Not-ers! The first version of the food donation schedule is now posted - those of you not included on the schedule, don't worry. We're still getting more drivers and contacting shelters to see where there are needs for food and when we can donate. We will start operating on this schedule as soon as possible.

Also, we're working to set a date for volunteering with the food bank and coordinating our Centre House volunteer day. These will both occur on a Saturday, and the food bank may become a regular event - I will send out updates as necessary.

Hello, Waste Not-ers! Our next group meeting (and final meeting of the semester) will take place tomorrow, Dec. 7, 7:30PM and will take place in 105 Willard. We will discuss some of our plans for next semester and accept self-nominations for the secretary and treasurer positions. We will provide light refreshments. Hope to see everybody there!

Hey, everybody! The tentative day for our next meeting is October 21st at 7:30PM, somewhere in the Willard Building (I will update when I figure it out).

Almost done setting up our delivery schedule; it will be posted under the Schedules section in a couple days, and hopefully we can get some deliveries started ASAP! If there are any problems, please let me know.

I'm also going to talk with our contact in Food Services about additional group advertisements - we definitely have enough members to start, but the more volunteers we get, the bigger difference we can make. Word of mouth works, too!

Hey, everybody! Waste Not is having its first meeting of the year on Thursday, Sept. 9th at 7:30PM at the Willard Building, Room 162.

From now on, this is where upcoming meeting notifications, group news, items of interest, and anything else relevant will be posted, as well as distributed via Listserv. I hope we all have a great year, ourselves and those we help included. Let's make that happen!
