Dave Hatfield has served as a campus minister with Victory Christian Fellowship since 1998 and attended Penn State University from 1993-1997, graduating with a B.A. in English. For much of his life, Dave never believed God was relevant to our daily existence. That all changed in 1994 when Jesus revealed Himself to him, and Dave responded by giving his heart to Christ. Since then, Dave has had a passion to know Jesus more and help other people come to know Christ and the forgiveness, peace and abundant life only Jesus can give. He loves meeting with people of all different types of backgrounds and discussing the big ideas of God, faith and life with them. Dave has a beautiful wife, Alla, and a beautiful daughter, Alina, who along with God are the primary passions of his life. He also fervently enjoys (or suffers, depending on the season) rooting on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jill Elizabeth Reading grew up in Schuylkill Haven, Pa. At the age of five, she “asked Jesus to come into her heart.” She grew up in a Christian home attending church, youth group, and mission trips. But like many, she got involved in unholy relationships and the party scene, which slowly lead her away from an intimate relationship with the Lord. She graduated Schuylkill Haven Area High School in 1998. In 2002 she came out to University Park to pursue a degree in Journalism, while working at Outback Steakhouse. It was there that she met a friend who invited her to Christ Community Church, and her life has dramatically changed since. Around Jan. of 2004, Jill re-dedicated her faith and said good-bye to a relationship she never thought she’d get out of. Instead, she said hello to a wonderful relationship with the Holy Spirit in a way she had never known before. Also in 2004, Jill graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, and a minor in English. In 2005 she accepted God’s invitation into full-time campus ministry with Victory Christian Fellowship. Here she is developing leadership skills and learning to disciple others. She wants to be so full of Christ’s transforming love that it witnesses to the lives of those around her. Jill likes to act, sing, read, write, watch movies, listen to music, and laugh with friends and family.
