Who Are We?
USITT@PSU is proud to call itself the largest and most active student chapter in the nation. We pride ourselves on being active not only in the theatre world but in the local community as well. Through the strong commitment from our membership body and good graces of the Penn State School of Theatre we have been able to organize events that act as both fundraisers for the organization and entertainment for the surrounding community. In addition to fundraisers for our organization, we also participate in the Penn State Dance Marathon, the world's largest student-run philanthropy. We are proud to contribute to the over $4 million raised annually by this event.
Our Plan
The 2009-2010 year will be eventful and exciting. We will focus on maintaining the success of our past achievements, as well developing new goals and ideas. Highlights include continuing our philanthropic efforts with Behind the Scenes, hosting a third annual High School Education Outreach Program, and building a network for students within the Ohio Valley Region. Other aspects for this year include improving the Alumni Contact Network, being an active participant in the 2010 national conference in Kansas City, and raising funds through concession sales and an apparel sale with Custom Stuff. We will also continue to host social events and activities within the organization. For full details please visit the complete plan.
