The K-House program exists also to provide a student
volunteer and community base for United Campus Ministry at Penn State. For this
reason, priority is given but not limited to students from those faith
traditions that support United Campus Ministry (American Baptist Church, Church
of the Brethren, Presbyterian Church, USA, Religious Society of Friends, United
Church of Christ, United Methodist Church, Mennonite Church-USA.)The K-House,
with the UCM director, provides community members with opportunities to explore
and develop their interests and gifts for leadership and ministry. Believing
that young adults want their faith to make a difference in the world, UCM
strives through the K-House program to offer students at Penn State
opportunities for worship, spiritual formation, service learning, and
cross-cultural understanding. Justice, peace building, and respect for
diversity, core values of UCM will find active and creative expression through
K-House initiatives, leadership, and witness. K-House residents will find ways
to respect people regardless of their age culture, national origin, race,
religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability. In knowing Christ and
making Christ known, the K-House program seeks to be a witness to the Penn State
