Spring Break, March 8-16, 2008 Downloadable Spring Break 2008 Registration Form February 22 - Spring Break Trip Priority Registration - $150 Registrations after February 22nd will be accepted for $165 until all spots are full. Are you looking for something challenging, rewarding, and fulfilling to do this Spring Break? Why not join UCM and help us rebuild the Gulf States region after damage from Hurricane Katrina. We will be taking roughly 130 students down South to help home owners restore what they lost. Not only will you be providing these families a home, but you will be restoring to them a sense of hope. After returning from a very rewarding trip to Lousianna and Mississippi the past two years, we realized that college students sometimes forget how important compassion is. The simple act of helping a neighbor build their home is extremely rewarding, to both the home owner and the volunteer. After any trip like this, you take back much more than you expected, and in ways that you did not expect. The families you get to interact with have powerful stories, and there stories teach us about things in our own lives. With that in mind, we are putting together another trip this Spring Break, and we would love to have you join us. Registration forms will be do in February. A downloadable registration form will be posted in the near future. We will be using 15-passenger vans to transport everyone down. Lodging and meals will be provided for. Below is a basic itenerary of what to expect on the trip. If you are interested in joining us or want more information, email either Spud Marshall at iamspud5@gmail.com or Bruce Martin at bdm12@psu.edu. You can also click on Contact Us at the top of the page and contact us through any of the means listed. Trip Itenerary March 8: Depart State College in the morning.
