Turquoise Turkish Folk Dance Group (formed January 2009)

     

Turquoise is a committee under Turkish Student Association (TSA), and welcomes all Penn State affiliates. The group endeavors to promote Turkish culture by incorporating various dances from different regions of Turkey to better represent cultural diversity in Turkey.


Our objectives:


  • to introduce Turkish culture through Turkish folk dance
  • to promote cultural diversity among the State College society
  • to develop social network between the members and the community

 

Since its establishment, January 2009, Turquoise Turkish Folk Dance Group has performed in the following events:

    • Turkish National Sovereignty and Children's Day (April 18, 2010)
    • International Student Council Spring Festival (April 11, 2010)
    • Music of Love Charitable Concert (March 20, 2010)
    • Turkish Independence Day (October 29, 2009)
