Just a reminder to register for the Lancaster triathlon (Sprint or Olympic). The cut off date for the cheaper registration is Aug. 1st. The club reimbursement will be the same whether you pay now or later, so it's in your best interest to register before Aug. 1st! Here's the link: LANCASTER TRI

Hey Tri-Clubbers! ...The 2009 Tri-Schedule
The Lancaster YMCA Triathlon on Saturday, Sept. 12th
The Marshman Sprint Triathlon on Sunday, Sept. 20th
The MightyMan Sprint Triathlon on Saturday, Oct. 3rd
I know this is a change from the usual Big Lick tri, but it seems to have fallen off the last couple years in terms of Collegiate attendance, and I think a change is due. Here is the registration link to register: LANCASTER YMCA TRI (may need active account to view) Reasons for the Lancaster Tri:
-one of the longest running races in the country
-includes and Olympic and sprint distance race
-Lancaster is pretty!
-fairly inexpensive ($70 olympic until Aug. 1st)
-Close to Penn State (2ish hours), camping (and possibly the slade estate?) nearby!
The Marshman Triathlon Sept 20th is a short sprint tri , 1/4mi swim, 12.5mi bike and a 2mi run :) near my house. My mom will cook for us and we have room for everyone. My house is about 3 hours from State College so we can leave sometime Saturday. This race is in a nice area and it had 500+ participants last year!
Here's the link: MARSHMAN
I heard the Drexel team is going, so we should prolly go beat up on em!
These two tris do fall on Penn State home Football weekends. Sept. 12th is against Syracuse at noon, and Sept. 19th is Temple at noon. You could probably leave after the temple game for the Marshman race, but you will likely miss the Syrcuse game for the Lancaster Tri.
The last ! club race that will probably recieve some sort of financial support is the Mightyman Triathlon in Montauk, NY. This is our conference championship which brings a high number of collegiate competitors to town!
These races are the only clubs sponsored ones, but they are not the only tri's you can do. Some people may be doing others so just watch emails to see whats on the radar!
If you register for any of these races, send me an email and SAVE YOUR REGISTRATION RECEIPT, there will likely be some type of reimbursement for each of these!
Everyone enjoy the rest of summer and get excited for a couple of fall races!!
