Meeting Notes

• Meetings are held every Tuesday at 8:00 PM during the semester in 15 Tyson. The first meeting of Fall 2007 will be held September 4. Meeting notes taken by our Secretary, Billy Weisser.

1. Gym Credit - An oppurtunity exists to turn Tri club into 1.5 gym credits. Email Mary for details mew5029@psu.edu
2. Fundraising Officer - New officer postion for next year. In charge of helping to host a race.... Also this will be a great resume builder so think about if you'd like to do it.
3. Nationals - The race is 85% full but not getting any fuller till Feb 1st. If you want to race and are not registered be at your computer 1 PM Est time on Feb 1st for when registration opens... It's gonna fill up fast.
4. Baseball Caps - If you are interested in getting PSU Triathlon baseball caps this year email me! They're super sweet and only $15.
5. Paul Fritzsche - We had an excellent lecture on training, it was not to be missed. Right now the training focus is Endurance and Technique. Go to Pauls website www.trimybest.com and check out the psu section. Thanks Paul!

1/15/08

1. Lactic Acid 5k Will be coming up this semester and will count as a fundraiser to make nationals cheaper. Email Graham to let him know you can help out. Also keep on the lookout for more details in the near future.
2. Nationals If you are not registered yet and want to go to this race registration opens up for the rest of the team on Feb 1st. The remaining slots will be filled incredibly quickly so it is recomended you do it on Midnight on Jan 31. Deadline for the team to register is Feb 7, but the race will be filled by then.
3. Uniforms & T-Shirts T-shirts will be in sometime this week and will be available for pickup at the next meeting. Uniforms had a problem with the copyrighted psu symbol so they are slightly delayed.
4. Masters Swimming with Paul Coach Paul is encouraging everyone to try to make it to masters swimming. Great Workout!! M & W 6:30 PM and T & R at 7:30 PM at the Nat
5. Spring Break Heyo TriClub spring break..... a crew is gathering to go to clearwater florida... Total cost including everything will be approximately $500. We'll be right next to the beach and it will be fun. Email Mike if your interested and ask around to see whos going, should be a great fun crew.
6. Housing The Great Sparky is looking for another roomate for next school year. Single room available very low cost... get in touch with Mike
7. Nationals Tell Teachers about missing class for nationals April 17-20
8. Finally Coach Paul will be speaking at the next meeting so this is NOT ONE TO MISS !!!!!!!!
