How to Pledge

Want to become a member of Penn State Thespians? Here is an outline of the pledging requirements:

• Crew Hours- 10 hours on a main crew for two mainstage shows.
• Set Hours- 3 hours of set construction for two mainstage shows.


• Costume Hours- 3 hours assisting costumer for two mainstage shows.


• Load-In- At least 4 hours during load-in weekend for one mainstage show.


• Strike- Assist in strike for one mainstage show.


• Rehearsal- Attend one rehearsal for two mainstage shows.


• Pledge Project- At least 4 hours of work on a project for the betterment of Thespians (i.e.- Schwab clean-out, canning trip).


• Pledge Questions- Ask members questions and record answers verbatim.


• Pledge Skit- Completed by pledge class and performed prior to inductions.


• Inductions- Ceremony necessary to become a member.
