Frequently Asked Questions
FoodIs there food for vegetarian? Yes, vegetarians are welcomed. We make sure every menu comes in two forms, vegetarian and non-vegetarian. If we can't make a certain dish for vegetarians (due to specific ingredients) we will provide a supplement for you.
What about allergic ingredients? We generally try to avoid using nuts or allergic ingredients of any type. If we do use any, such as peanuts, you will be notified by a sign at the food distributing location. We also give a handout to every one of our guests at the entrance which describes the ingredients for each menu item. However, if you are concerned about your saftey, you can have a look at the food ingredients provided online. Tickets and PricingWhy does the price vary each year? The main objective of Thai Night is to present Thai culture, not to make profit. Therefore, the Thai Student Association heavily relies on money which is given by sponsors in order to cover the cost for the entire event. Each year, we receive support from different sponsors at different amounts. Although we have many generous sponsors, the money is generally not enough to provide a good quality event. Ttherefore, we have to ask you pay the remaining portion yourself.
Can I get cheaper tickets just for entering without the dinner? Sorry, we only have tickets which covers both dinner and performances.
If the tickets are sold out, can I pay the full price of the ticket and enter without food or seating? Sorry, you can't. For your safety, the university has a policy that limits the number of people in a closed space at any given time. For example, the Heritage Hall can only afford no more than three hundred people and two hundred chairs. The EventIf I arrive late, can I still enter? Yes you can, but only if you already have a ticket. However, note that 6:30 pm is when we start serving dinner and present some slide shows. The performances generally start at 7:00 pm. For those who plan to pick up the ticket at the entrance you have to be there before 5:40pm. |
