Tapestry is the resident performing
tap company at Pennsylvania State
University. We are a student run
organization that foucuses on many
styles of tap while incorporating other
dance disciplines. Our pieces are student
choreographed by our members with the
help of our advisor Michele Dunleavy
and are showcased twice a year. All of our
members have danced for many years
and consider ourselves lucky to have an
outlet like Tapestry.
Previous Perfomances
  • We performed at the Breast Cancer Benefit Show Saturday, April 3rd at the State Theater in support of breast cancer awareness month.

  • At Penn State's dance marathon, THON, we performed a specially choreographed piece for the dancers and families in the Bryce Jordan Center on Saturday, February 23rd, 2008.

  • Tapestry performed in the Martin Luther King celebration on Wednesday January 23rd, 2008 at 6:00PM in the Eisenhower Auditorium.

  • Our Showcase was held Sunday December 3rd, 2007 in the White Building. All our dancers said good bye to Kim and Jessica, we will miss you!

  • Tapestry and Pi Lambda Phi won 1st place in the Homecoming banner competition, as well as 3rd in Air Bands!

  • Our showcase was held Sunday April 29th, 2007 in the White Building.  Both shows went over well and we said goodbye to some of our beloved graduating seniors.

  • We performed two dances at the  marketing fashion show on Wednesday April 25th, 2007 in Heritage Hall in the HUB.

  • Our company performed at the Breast Cancer Benefit on Sunday March 3rd, 2007.

  • Tapestry performed at  THON, the largest student run philanthropy in the world on Friday night in Pre-THON as well as entertainment for the 2007 dancers.   We also had two dancers in the marathon and lots of supporters!

  • We  performed at the THON family carnival on Sunday November 19th.

  • We  entertained donors and volunteers at the blood drive on Wednesday November 15th in Alumni Hall in the HUB.

  • Tapestry was featured on the front page of The Daily Collegian for Homecoming preparations.
