Important Information About the Team:
The Penn State Club Synchro Team meets to practice year round. Fall
semester consists of getting to know each other, teaching new members
basic synchro moves and practicing figures for competitions. Mid-Fall
semester we begin choreographing and learning routines that will be
swam at competitions.
The
spring semester is our competitive portion of the season. The team will
be working really hard on the routines and figures at this point and
taking them to four competitions, two of which will be regionals and
nationals. Finally, after the competitive season is over, the team will
showcase an end of the year Friends and Family Water Show, sometime in April!
During this time the team will swim all routines brought to
competitions, a routine created post-competitive season with all
members involved, and the show will include any extra routines that
members feel ambitious enough to swim for the show.
The
synchro team here at Penn State is a competitive club team. As a team
we try to gain skills and ability within the sport of synchronized
swimming, but at the same time we want everyone to have fun learning
something new (which is the majority of the members) and learn more and
become better (which is for the more experienced members). So, if you
are interested in joining in the future, you can contact us at: pennstatesynchro@gmail.com. Or you can stop by the club sports involvement fair during the start of the fall semester to look into joining.
