What We Do
The Penn State Special Olympics Club works with Special Olympics Pennsylvania and Special Olympics Center County to provide meaningful, rewarding experiences for special needs persons in the Center County Region.
Volunteers from our group can be/do any of the following:
- Unified Partners - players on a team alongside Special Olympics Athletes
- Coordinators - in charge of arranging anything from transportation to communication to sports events
- Fund Raisers - self explanatory; all money we raise goes first to the club treasury, and from there we donate (unless you choose to fundraise outside of the club, in which case it can go straight to SOCC)
- Even Volunteers - helping with set-up, tear-down, and everything in between (most common position and usually the most fun!)
There are a lot more opportunities and ways to get involved than those listed above. For more information, come to a club meeting or visit the SOCC website for more information.
