Our Mission

The primary mission of the Penn State Soaring Club is to provide quality flight instruction at the lowest possible cost. Membership is open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and immediate family members. We are an active flying club that promotes primary flight instruction, advanced cross country training, FAI badge attempts as well as competition flying.

We fly out of Mifflin County Airport (FAA Identifier: RVL) in Reedsville, PA. The airport is located in the Kish valley North of Jack's Mountain, with access to ridges to both the North and South. Both winch launching and aerotows are available. The airport also features General Aviation and Skydiving operations.

If you have any questions or are interested in learning to fly with the Penn State Soaring Club please get in touch with us!
