The Singapore Students Association

The Pennsylvania State University at State College, Pennsylvania, boasts a small but unique enrollment of Singaporean students filled with the passion for learning and life. We are all dedicated to providing Penn State's Singaporean Community with as much help and support as possible for a wonderful experience here.

Many of us are involved in the common degree programs that are similar to that offered back home at the universities of Singapore. Engineering is by far a popular choice. Aside from such programs, several of us are involved in the mechanics of food sciences, the logistics of businesses and even the management of real estates.

Since life here is so much different from home, from the language, culture, to daily norms, you need to be aware of the changes that will surface. Rest assured, for many of us have been through the neccessary adjustments and will be here for you should you require any assistance.

Festive occasions are never forgotten and we often plan small gatherings during these special events. Throughout the year, there will be a number of holidays and national events that you will have a chance to witness and at the same time, be a part of in all the celebrations.

As Penn State's Singaporean community is rather small, we are linked close together through our annual meetings and small parties. We often keep in touch through the internet chat program, ICQ, so it's always easy to reach someone in this community for help or just a friendly company.
