Cleansing and Tuning.

Sunlight - re-energize your water-cleansed stones n sunlight for 24 hours before dedicating them.

Running water - Cleanse your crystals by holding them under running water.  As you do so, think about a beautiful waterfall or imagine the waves lapping over your crystal on a tropical beach.

Resonating Sound - purify your crystals with the resonating sound of a bell.  You can cleanse a roomful of crystals by ringing the bell above them, but the best way is to purify crystals one at a time.

Smudging - burn a wadge of dried herbs and waving the smoke over and through them.

Crab Apple and Sea Salt - soak crystals in a non-metallic container filled with water to which some purifying sea salt or crab apple Bach Flower Remedy has been added.  Clean seawater is another option.  Some people suggest leaving container in a window ledge for three days before the full moon.

Earth Burial - if you feel they are safe enough you can bury your crystals in the ground.

Thought Visualization - imagine a bright star pouring pure white light through an opening in the top of your head.  Guide it down through your body, sensing it being cleansed.  Feel negative energies draining out of your feet.  Now dedicate the crystal.  "I dedicate this crystal to love and for the universal benefit of all."

Amethyst Bed - put your crystal in a bed of amethyst clusters.

How to Tune a Crystal

Remain in a relaxed, alert state.  Hold your crystal in one hand and place the other over it.  Visualize an energy connection between you and the crystal.  Decide on the crystal's purpose.  Then say:  "I intend this crystal to be an effective tool for ..."
