to the on-line home of the Penn State Student Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management! Our mission is to create an environment in which students of any major can join together regarding professional development and career growth issues in the human resource management field.
Upcoming Events:
3rd: 11-2 Smeal Picnic. Smeal is hosting a welcome back picnic on the green in front of the business building. There will be free Clem’s, a band and Price Waterhouse is sponsoring so they will be around to talk to (they have HR internships, check them out!)
5:00-7:30 Smeal Involvement Fair. SHRM will have a booth
7th: 6:30 Tower Perrin Presentation. Towers Perrin consulting is having an info session and specially invited SHRM because they have a human capital/human resources division. This is a great time for networking!
9th: 6:30-8 First SHRM meeting in the Bronze Room in Pollock Commons. This will be a great meet and greet for the new and returning members. We'll go over all the activities for the semester. DON'T FORGET your resume; we'll have professors and professionals there to look it over so you're all ready for the Career Fair. Refreshments will be provided.
