Jake Meyers - President
Hello!! And welcome to Rotaract’s awesome officer’s page. My name is Jake Meyers and I am the president now and for the entire 2010-2011 school year lest my fellow Rotaracters decide to overthrow me (that would be sad…L). Anyways, I have been in Rotaract for approaching three years now and could not be happier with my time in the club. We are basically a fun group of people who like spend some of our time helping out others and giving back to the community. We perform a wide range of service projects from volunteering at an Assisted Living Home to helping out a local Environmental Center. Rotaract also raises money for some great causes like THON, our international project Akaanksha, and many more. Last year I served Rotaract as a co-THON chair and we helped raised over $10,000!! I hope to bring some more of that hard work and dedication to the presidency this year as we look continue our outreach in the community with some new service events, continue what we already love and do, and grow to become a better, more complete club. As the President, I get delegate a lot of work on to other people, but get to stay involved in all the aspects of the club. Rotaract is a great place to meet people, help out others, and have fun in the process. If you have any question or concerns, feel free to email me or one of the officers about what they do, or just stop by a meeting! By the way, I still really love bacon (Hint…Hint).
Rachel Popovich - Vice President
Hey there, my name is Rachel Popovich. I am a sophomore majoring in Rehabilitation and Human Services and minoring in both Gerontology and Anthropology. I am the new vice president for Rotaract – which I’m totally excited about! As VP, I am in charge of organizing all of the club’s [relatively] local service projects and events. This includes, but is not limited to our weekly trips to Oaks, blood drives, and Relay for Life. Aside from being in Rotaract, I am in Women’s Chorale where I serve as the Packages Chair for our THON family. I was also on a Rules and Regulations committee for THON this year, keeping the spectators and dancers safe all weekend long! The best part about being in Rotaract for me is getting to work with a great bunch of people while serving the community and beyond! = ]

Back home I’m also a member of the Rapport Youth Group, which provides a safe environment for peer counseling and rapport with youth and adolescents throughout the islands.
