Autonomous Robot Capture the Flag Competition & Exhibition
Contest Date: Saturday, December 8th, 2007; 1 PM to 4 PM, IST Cybertorium
Location: University Park, State College, PA

Robot-CTF is an autonomous mobile robot design competition in which two robots compete head-to-head in a capture-the-flag challenge over a varied terrain. Robots must start in of the base on their respective side, navigate and traverse a path through the arena, reach the opponent's side, grab the flag, and move the flag back to base. The winner is defined as the robot to accumulate the most points, which will be earned by achieving certain checkpoints to and from the opponent’s base. Bonus points will also be available.

The goals of the competition are to create an autonomous robot that can navigate a varied terrain, find an object, recover it, plan a course and handle object collision.

Our current project is to develop a robot that will autonomously drive around the Penn State Abington Campus. You can find a link on our links page. We have also posted some code and a paper on the links page as well.

Anyone that is interested in joining this project is welcome. We will need a mechanical team for design and maintenance. Additionally, we will also need some programmers. Anyone interested in joining this project can contact Jeremy Bridon. Contact information can be found on the contacts page.
