All about My Father
(2002) Evan Benestad, Norway
A personal documentary about a well-respected doctor and transvestite
in a small Christian town, directed by the one person most likely
to convey his story with warmth, humor and irony: his son. Armed
with a small video camera, and with the use of nostalgic “super
8mm” family footage, he set out to make a personal portrait
of his transvestite father. (Norwegian with English subtitles)

poignant, funny, frightening and inspiring from men who are almost
an invisible part of gay culture.From men raising children, to dairy
farmers, to radical faeries, to hermits, this is a far cry from
the stereotyped urban gay culture. Informative and poignant.

Gasoline
(2003) Monica Strambini, Italy
The tender, dramatic story of two young women in their early twenties.
The story revolves around Stella and Eleonora (nicknamed Lenni),
a gasoline station, a snobby, super-bourgeois mother hovering threateningly
over Lenni’s life, the two girls’ love affair, and their
desire to escape. Then, nighttime and an accident, or maybe a crime…
the desperate escape, like an odyssey, with the cumbersome corpse
of the mother to dispose of without being seen. (Italian with English
subtitles)

Gone But Not Forgotten

An intriguing mystery-romance where two men’s lives intersect
and become one through a meeting of pure chance. Lonely small town
forest ranger Drew Parker comes across a stranded and injured hiker
suffering from amnesia. Mark has no memory of his accident or how
he ended up on the mountain that day. During his recovery, Mark
falls in love with Drew. "As he remembers who he was, he discovers
who he is, and who he really loves."

E xplores the issue of legalizing gay marriages in a documentary
presenting the compelling, poignant, and personal stories of long-term
couples (from 10 years to 55 years) across the United States who
are unable to benefit from some of the basic rights granted to heterosexual
married couples - e.g. hospital visitation, adoption, survivor benefits.

The Trip

An ambitiously epic gay romance that traces the course of two men
from their initial meeting as teenagers in 1973 until 1984. The
time is the socially turbulent 1970s when radical politics and the
emerging gay rights movement clashed with the rigidly conservative
establishment.

Winner of the Critics’ Week Award at the Locarno Film Festival
2001, explores the universe of female masculinity in NYC’s
vibrant Drag King scene. Interviews with lesbian, bisexual and transgender
Drag Kings are interspersed with witty and thought-provoking performances,
which both explore and parody male sexuality and power. Among the
vivid personalities here is Storme Webber, transgender artist, poet
and performer, who’s stories reveal how invisible both black
transgender and queer family histories have been.
