Life at Penn State is vibrant, youthful and exciting. There’s always something happening -- with Penn State football, basketball and other activities at the forefront of the social scene. But that’s not all. Penn State students eagerly anticipate the IFC Dance Marathon (the Icers participate in this every year), Homecoming, Movin’ On and the Arts Festival among the countless campus-wide activities. Plus, there are more than 425 campus organizations and clubs, dormitory functions, apartment parties, Greek activities ad infinitum to occupy a student’s spare time. The Penn State campus offers you a multitude of opportunities - to attend a basketball or football game or a rock concert at the Bryce Jordan Center, to socialize with friends at the renovated HUB (Penn State’s Student Union)/Robeson Cultural Center, grab some ice cream at our nationally know Creamery, attend a musical at Eisenhower Auditorium or to find a quiet nook to study for a quiz.

The IFC Dance Marathon has raised more than $26 million to benefit childhood cancer victims since 1977. It is the largest student-run philantrhopy in the country.
Penn State has over 80 acres of playing fields and facilities for student use as well as 29 varsity and 54 clubs sports.
Almost 6 million people attended nearly 1000 events in the Bryce Jordan Center during its first 7 years of operations.
