Jamie begins his second year with Penn State Crew and his first year as the Head Coach.  Jamie spent the past year as the Head Novice Coach which culminated in two Dad Vail entries advancing to semi-finals.  Before coming to Central Pennsylvania, Jamie was in Central Florida where he coached for five years achieving medals at State, Regional, and National Championships.
Prior to beginning his coaching career, Jamie rowed for the University of Central Florida and Lake Brantley Rowing Association, both located in Central Florida.
When he's not coaching, Jamie also works a full-time job, enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, and tries to fit in the occasional video game.
"Rowing has taught me many things and brought me many places.  If I can show students a glimpse of what rowing can do for them after they graduate, then I consider it a successful season."
