About Us

Penn State Club XC is in its 5th year of existence as a running club that gives students an opportunity to run, train, and compete. The club was founded so runners wouldn't have to run by themselves and also to give runners a chance to compete on the college level without the stress of being on an NCAA Varsity team. The club is open to all types of runners...if you're just out to stay in shape and meet people this is the club for you! If you'd like to train and compete against college teams on a serious level, this is also the club for you. Our motto is "the club is what you make of it." In 2006, we competed for the first time under the club sports department at PSU and also as a member of the newly-formed National Intercollegiate Running Club Association (NIRCA).  At the first NIRCA Championship our girls team finished first and the guys finished fourth.  Currently, our roster totals over 130 students.  Spring 2008 practice is running now at 4:30pm in front of Rec Hall. ALL ARE WELCOME SO COME CHECK US OUT!
