Amy
Aubert, PSN News Anchor, ala5042@psu.edu
Amy Aubert
is a senior at Penn State
University and credits her extracurricular activities for her growth
as a reporter and anchor. She joined PSN News as a sophomore in a
reporting position and put together multiple stories for the station.
Amy later moved into the anchoring position where she says she is
able to really practice and understand what it takes to become an
accomplished journalist. Amy is also the President of the Radio and
Television News Director’s Association, secretary of the
College of
Communications student council and held several internships including
NBC in Philadelphia and Comcast’s CN8. PSN News was her first
out-of-the-classroom broadcasting experience and acknowledges its
importance in bettering her journalism skills.

Chris
Merrill, PSN News Anchor, cjm5088@psu.edu
Chris Merrill
is an anchor for PSN
News. He joined the network as the VTR operator and a videographer
freshman year. He began anchoring in Fall 2008. His interest in news
dates back to the late 1990s, when he started to really listen to the
news radio his mother had on frequently. In high school, through the
school district’s TV station, he developed a love for
television
and it made sense to marry the two interests. Chris is a senior
majoring in broadcast journalism with minors in political science and
history.

Alli
Hedges, PSN News Anchor, alh5215@psu.edu
Alli Hedges
is a junior from Pottstown,
Pennsylvania, majoring in broadcast journalism with a minor in
political science. In high school, Alli was an anchor and reporter
for her school news show, The Paw Report. She also participated in
the KYW News Studies program in Philadelphia, PA. Alli first joined
PSN as a freshman reporter and videographer, while also working in
the studio with camera equipment and tapes. Currently, Alli anchors
and writes reads for the live weekly news show. She also volunteers
in the studio for the Centre County Report. Alli is president of her
sorority, Kappa Delta, and is preparing to study abroad in Barcelona,
Spain, for the Spring 2010 semester.

Dan
Yesenosky, Sports Producer and
Anchor, dgy103@psu.edu
Dan Yesenosky
is a sophomore majoring
in Broadcast Journalism and planning to minor in marketing. His
history in journalism and communications goes back to high school,
where he took a journalism class writing newspaper articles, and a
video production class working with DV cameras and editing in iMovie.
His freshman year, he joined PSN and worked on b-roll for field
hockey and volleyball first semester as well as a package on
basketball. Second semester, he submitted a required project of a
package on a story of his choice on IM Arena Footbal. That semester
he also did a package and reported at the NIT basketball game versus
George Mason. He also did b-roll for baseball, softball, and the Blue
and White Spring Football Game. He was also appointed a Sports
Producer, and anchored two shows in April. Currently, he is in
charge of approximately 30-40 people for Penn State Sports Night and
is responsible for the sports block of PSN News.

Julie
Knecht,

Julie Knecht
is the Executive Producer
of PSN News. She joined PSNtv her first semester as a videographer
and server operator. She became the Executive Producer the following
Spring. As Executive Producer, Julie is responsible for making sure
that the show comes together each Monday, as well as putting together
each script and rundown. Her interest in broadcast journalism began
when she was in the seventh grade when she began to watch the news
daily. She participated in her high school’s television
program,
writing the script for the live morning announcements daily. Julie
also participated in the high school institute for broadcast
journalism at Penn State prior to her senior year of high school and
decided this is the place for her. Julie is a junior majoring in
broadcasting journalism with a minor in political science.

Grace
Muller, News Producer, gkm5008@psu.edu
Grace Muller
is the news producer for
PSN News. She joined the network as a videographer and floor manager
freshman year and became a producer the following semester. Her
interest in journalism dates back to the fifth grade, when she
started reading the newspaper every morning before school. She
decided on a career in journalism before coming to Penn State after
her hometown PBS station aired her package about a local program for
high school students in foster care. Grace is a junior majoring in
broadcast journalism with minors in history and women’s
studies.

Erica
Sperber, Director of PSN News, eus132@psu.edu
Erica Sperber
is a senior majoring in
Film/Video and minoring in Labor Employment Relations. Her
experience in film and television is broad. She worked with Major
League Baseball Network before the launch of their network to help
them set up to go live. She interned at FOX News Channel and FOX
Business Network for 2 years in their Technical Operations
Department. She interns for WPSU-TV in their Sports Production
Department. She is the Videographer for Penn State Men’s and
Women’s Varsity Gymnastics Teams. She is the Director of the
Centre County Report for the College of Communications. As a member
of PSNTV, Erica began as an Audio Engineer and Videographer for PSN
News. Currently, she is the Director of PSN News, Sports Night and
Write on Raquel. She is also Vice President of the network as well.
