Welcome!
Penn State Christian Grads is a community of primarily grad students that seek to encourage and support one another to trust God wholeheartedly with their lives, to walk intimately with Him, and to join Him passionately in drawing others to Himself so that:
• Every grad student on campus hears the Gospel in a winsome and meaningful manner.
• Grad students connect with others to deepen their relationship with God and to be equipped
to walk by faith, integrate their faith, communicate their faith, and multiply their faith.
• Grad students are encouraged and mobilized to walk with God for a lifetime,
to embrace His calling for their life, and to help build spiritual movements everywhere.
Upcoming Activities
Operation Christmas Child
Mid-November, Date/Time TBA
Once again this year we will be participating in Operation Christmas Child, where we fill and wrap shoeboxes full of gifts for needy children around the world. We will soon be posting details here and in the weekly announcements of the date/time/location when we'll be having our PSCG wrapping party. We will be dropping off our group's boxes at State College Evangelical Free Church no later than Sunday 22 November. In the meantime, save any empty shoeboxes you have, and ask your friends if they'd like to join in with this ministry. If you have questions please contact Jared Lee.
Regular Events
Bible Study
6:45pm - 9:15pm on Sunday
Ashley & Heather Holleman residence
Fellowship time starts at 6:45pm, praise/worship starts at about 7:00pm, we typically break into small groups for the study around 7:30pm, and come back together as a large group at 8:30pm. After the study each week there's a prayer time as well, which wraps up by 9:15pm. This fall we will be studying the book of Acts. Friday Forum
4:00pm - 5:00pm on Fridays
104 Pasquerilla Spiritual Center
Friday Forum is a weekly arena where we come together to explore the interaction of our faith and academic study. Oftentimes guest speakers (PSU faculty members, typically) are brought in to talk about how they synthesize their life in academia with Christianity, and sometimes books and/or chapters of books are read and discussed by the group as a whole. Weekly Prayers
4:15pm - 5:15pm on Wednesdays
Pasquerilla Spiritual Center Library
This will be a time open for anyone to come and pray about anything that's a burden on their heart with other PSCG members. Hanging at the Hollemans
8:30pm - 11:00pm on Thursdays
Ashley & Heather Holleman residence
Feel free to join us at the Holleman residence to hang out and fellowship with one another, often while enjoying an episode of The Office, games and/or a movie! For more info or directions contact Ashley Holleman.
Men's Group
2nd & 4th Wednesdays of every month at 7pm
Isaac Gerg's apartment
A great time to get to know some of the other guys in PSCG, we often go out to eat, play board games, watch movies/sporting events or play a little basketball, tennis or other sport, or sometimes talk about more serious issues, depending on what people are in the mood for. For the next several weeks, however, we are reading and discussing the book Why Guys Need God by Mike Erre. For more info contact Isaac Gerg.
