How to join Penn State Powerlifting
What is the Penn State Powerlifting Club?
Joining the Penn State Powerlifting Club is more than just lifting weights and competition. The club will consist of competitive lifters as well as students simply interested in weight/strength training. Every year the club will host a competition team to represent Penn State at various local meets and the USAPL National Collegiate meet every spring semester. We currently train in East Area Locker Room to get ready for our competitions. Members of the club are expected to participate in various charity and fundraising events throughout the year (ex. THON, United Way).
Policies:
The Penn State Powerlifting Club promotes a non-discriminatory and drug free atmosphere. Members found to be in violation of University policy or Club sports policy will be immediately suspended and will undergo disciplinary review.
So how do I join?
The first step to joining the Penn State Powerlifting Club is to get in contact with one of the club officers on the contact page for more information. The club is always accepting new members and is happy to have those interested in competition. The second step is to download and complete the participation agreement below. Once this is completed the club president must be notified of your intent to join. Then the completed waiver needs to be given one of the club officers.
