If you have a picture you think should be added, please send it to our Webmaster. We can't promise anything, but we'll consider it. Pictures from the 2008 season will be added soon.
We have also added a countdown clock on the main page below the Recent News heading. Each week we'll countdown to the start time for the next iteration of Paternoville.Addendum (added July 8th, 2009): Added pictures from the 2008 season. Also added a tab for the 2005 season and added some photos to the 2006 and 2007 Season tabs. More to come.
Addendum #2 (added July 8th, 2009): Added "Paternoville in the Media" section, archiving coverage from previous seasons. Woody Paige's famous quote has been added on the front page above the title. Some other minor changes were made.
Please stay tuned for more changes!
PCC PRESIDENT INTERVIEWED (June 29th, 2009)
Blogger, Penn State student, and ardent athletics fan Ben Jones recently interviewed PCC President Alex Cohen for Jones' blog, The 22,000+: Covering the Hardwood and the Gridiron (referencing the size of the PSU student section for football games).
The interview can be found here: One on One with the President of Paternoville. Please take a visit to The 22,000+ and read what President Cohen had to say about the upcoming season!
WEBSITE UPDATES (June 25th, 2009)
As the summer progresses we will be making some small and large changes to the website. The first new feature to go live is the Archive portion of the News section. As new changes are made we will post them here.
Addendum (added June 25th, 2009): Updated the "History of the PCC" page.
Addendum #2 (added June 25th, 2009): Finally added banner to top of page. (Thanks to Vice President John Tecce for the banner).
Addendum #3 (added June 27th, 2009): Added links on the home page for: PCC facebook group, Paternoville twitter, and Paternoville fan page on Facebook. The Facebook group and twitter pages allow us to reach out to Paternovillers with information more actively than through this website.
Thank you for your patience and if you notice any broken links, crashed pages, or the like please inform the Webmaster immediately.
New Officers (April 15th, 2009)
Please join us in congratulating the following PCC members on their election (or reelection) to office tonight:
Alex Cohen, PCC President
John Tecce, Vice President
Amanda Meyerson, Secretary
Dan Saxton, PR Representative
Thank you to everyone who ran and participated in the elections. Your contributions are very much appreciated. The outgoing President and Vice President will work to acclimate the newly-elected officers to their positions as the semester draws to a close so they can hit the ground running as we all prepare for next season.
Paternoville is, of course, dormant until the 2009 season. The first home game is against Akron on September 5th. We hope to see you there!
Spring 2009 Meeting (April 6th, 2009)
The annual spring meeting and elections for the PCC will be held on Wednesday, April 15th at 6:30 p.m. in 260 Willard. President Tom Boroch will not be running for reelection so as to focus on other aspects of school and Vice President Christopher Grassi will no longer be eligible to hold office as he transitions to graduate school. Secretary Amanda Meyerson will run for reelection as will interim Public Relations Representative Dan Saxton.
This means that the top leadership of the PCC will be new for the 2009 season. If you wish to nominate someone or yourself for an elected position (President, Vice President, Secretary, Public Relations), please send an e-mail to either Chris (cjg225@psu.edu), Amanda (apm5051@psu.edu), Dan (das5133@psu.edu), or Tom (tab5086@psu.edu). All nominations must be sent to one of us by Monday, April 13th at 10 PM.
Finally, we will be having an open ended discussion at the meeting regarding the plans for Paternoville during the 2009 season in addition to some news about homecoming provided by Nick Rotondi.
MSU BAD WEATHER RULES (November 18th, 2008)
If you hadn't seen the Collegian article today you can read it here. This article explains how things will work this week since it will be extremely cold through the week.
NORMAL TIME RESUMES (November 11th, 2008)
Camping start times have returned to normal following the Michigan game. For the Indiana and Michigan State games, please DO NOT begin camping until Thursday at 12:01 a.m.
ILLINOIS WEEK LONG (September 19th, 2008)
In case you hadn't heard already, Illinois is a week-long campout which means we can pop tents at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday morning for the Illinois game. This will be in the Collegian Monday the 22nd.
NEW OFFICER POSITION (September 17th, 2008)
The PCC is pleased to announce the election of Dan Saxton to our newly created position of Public Relations Representative. Dan will serve as the interim rep until the annual elections in April. The new position was created in order to give the media another outlet to which to speak in the event that the president or vice president are unvailable. The PR rep's duties will also include some administrative duties related to interfacing with various inviduals and groups who wish to work alongside Paternoville.
Please join us in welcoming Dan Saxton as the new PR Rep for the PCC!
NEW GAMEDAY PROCEDURE (August 27th, 2008)
Well folks, the season is upon us and this year there have been some changes to the way things will run on gameday with regards to Paternoville campers, and students in general, but it affects us as campers much more. It would take too long to explain the new procedure here in the news section, but if you Click On These Words or visit the Rules and Regulations section of the site, you will find a PowerPoint (in MS Office 1997-2003 Format) laying out the new procedures that Paternoville endure in order to enter the stadium on Saturdays this fall.
FIRST MEETING TIME (August 21st, 2008)
We've set the first meeting time for the new semester. Tuesday, August 26th at 6:00 p.m. in 104 Thomas Building. Please attend! We'll have a lot of things to cover before the first campout of the year. There will be some big changes this year that we'll be discussing as well as voting on changes to the Governing Policy and Constitution.
ALMOST TIME! (August 3rd, 2008)
Yes, folks, it's almost time to start another Fall semester... which means college football is BACK! Along with football comes Paternoville. Get your camping gear ready, folks. It's going to be a long season. As if you didn't already know, first game is v.s. Coastal Carolina on August 30th.
As a reminder, camping cannot begin until Thursdays prior to games at the stroke of midnight (Wednesday into Thursday). If you're set up before then, you'll have to get the boot. And as a further reminder, because the PCC gets this question a lot, no, you don't HAVE to begin camping on Thursday at midnight... that's just the time at which you are allowed to start if you so desire.
In other news, there will be a new crowd-control system in place this year in front of the student gate. If you didn't know, you can check out this Collegian article to read about it: Queues Will Control Fans.
While the PCC officers have not set a time for the first PCC Meeting of the semester, we do know we'll be covering topics from updating the Governing Policy to ammending the PCC's Constitution to what our role will be with the new queue lines (if any).
Check back for more updates!
