Sharps
I was not the trip leader, but here
is what we did. Entered at about 11:30
AM. We pushed up stream for about
an hour ate lunch, and started back.
Run into some members of a New Jersey
Grotto. Found an access to the upstream
side of a water fall (about an 11
foot drop). Then we returned to the
surface around 3 PM. I had a hard
time getting out and required some
assistane, but I enjoyed myself and
would return again to help find the
down stream access to the water fall.

Bowden
I was not the trip leader, but here
is what we did. Seven people went
down the hollow to the second entrance
(I think it was) to do a thru trip
that timmer was leading. The rest
went in the main entrance at about
11:30 AM to explore. We went into
the shower room and explored the brakedown
pile right outside the room. They
found a hole in the wall that was
up about 8 feet. They helped Paul
up in, but it did not go any where.
We then went up the stream passage
and met up the the team doing the
thru trip. We all ate lunch and continued
on our way. The thru trip team went
down the stream passage, to the shower
room and to the main entrance. The
rest went into to the pendet room,
then back down the stream passage
and out the main entrance (around
2:30 PM). I had alot of fun. Hope
to do it again. Cherie Picard
The
Weekend
We all met at Al's place (in the end)
to leave extra cars. Left around 6:30-7
PM. We got to the cabin around 11:30.
We ended up lossing Timmer along the
way, because we change the way we
were going down. He ended up at the
cabin about a half hour after us.
The cabin was not what we had expected,
It was better. There was electric,
but there was an outhouse that was
very drafty. The first night was very
cold, because we had to start the
wood burning stove. We got up around
8:30 AM to go to Sharps. When we got
back the cabin was nice and toasty.
We were going to go to another cave
or to a party that the New Jersey
Grotto had invited us to after we
ate, but we were not motivated. Instead
we played Uno and Scategories. While
others (who I will not name, but they
know who they are) were running outside
in the snow with no shoes on. Sleeping
Saturday night was much warmer, until
the fire went out. We all got up around
7 AM, to pack and clean the cabin
before we left for Bowden. The trip
home was uneventful for all (I hope).
Gary and his wife stayed at a motel
that was a few miles down the road.
Boy am I glad because at least we
could us a real bathroom once or twice.
(Thank you Gary.) We need to thank
Kevin Price for getting the cabin
for us to use and I an sending a Thank
You card to Mr. Jeff Cromer, Thanking
him for the us of the cabin. I hope
that we will be able to use it again
someday. Thank you Kevin (if you read
this). Hope I didn't miss anything.
