Treasurer:      Put in financial request for blue water rope, 2 harnesses harness and
                    cabinet.  Went through Karst sports.

CONSERVATION
                   April 19 in the Sinkhole clean up from 8-12 followed by a picnic-- need volunteers
                    Gary, Keith, Christina, Larry.  More people would always be better.  Email gary for info.

NEW BUSINESS
We are targeting 10/25-26/08 for an AIPG-Pennsylvania Section  Karst
Field Trip.   One cave is fine for a Sunday morning 4 hr. event.  I
expect 10-15 geologists, all capable of rigorous activity – most have
done some spelunking in our past, rough age range 35-50.  We would
need to rent gear.
We would be interested in a tour even if WNS kept us out of the cave.
I have also spoken to PPC about a visit to Rupert's cave.  On Saturday
afternoon we would have a short karst geology  presentation at a hotel
 conference room in the area.  Our organization would facilitate all
expenses, except for individual hotel and transportation.

On another subject, I hear that NG is looking to spend $$$.  On a
recent Deerbone trip I chatted with the land owner whom was very upset
about a Church group blocking his driveway with an entire caravan.
Not having been there in a decade or so, I initially parked down at
the end of the access lane & got his attention.   Long story short -
He was initially upset, but after talking for 10 or 15 had him calmed
down & laughing.  I suggested that NG may be able to provide him with
a small sign for the driveway reminding people of where they should
park.  Perhaps you could bring this up a the next meeting.  I would be
available as a contact person to him for the NG since he'll surely
remember me.  Either way I would like to give him a follow-up call
sometime in the next several weeks to let him know what is happening.
