Who We Are:
The Nittany
Grotto is a chapter of the
NSS, based in Centre County Pennsylvania. We meet at Penn State
University, and are a student run organization with both sutdent and non-student members. Whether
you're just trying caving, or you want to push the limits, drop in on one
of our meetings and check us out.
We also have
several projects related to the conservation, discovery, exploration,
survey, and mapping of caves.
Getting Involved:
We alternate between cave trips and meetings weekly. Sundays we hold a
rope practice session where various rope skills are taught. Feel free to
show up to any of these events; for further details on them see the
calendar and
FAQ pages. We also have trips that encompass a full weekend several
times a semester. These trips however require some degree of experience,
so previous attendance of a Wednesday night trip is essential. Many trips
are also held by various members and announced via the list serv. It is
recommended that you get on this list.
Getting on the
List Serv:
Send a note to listserv@lists.psu.edu with "subscribe L-GROTTO Your Name"
in the body to get on our list serv.
