Who We Are:
The Nittany Grotto Caving Club meets at Penn State University and are mostly students who enjoy the SPORT of caving.  We are not affilitaed with the NSS and do no do project caving.  The Caving Club only engages in the SPORT of caving, please visit the Nittany Grotto Inc which is affilited with the NSS to learn about conservation, surveying, discovery and mapping.

Getting Involved:
We alternate between cave trips and meetings weekly. Sundays we hold a rope practice session where various rope skills are taught. Feel free to show up to any of these events; for further details on them see the calendar and FAQ pages. We also have trips that encompass a full weekend several times a semester. These trips however require some degree of experience, so previous attendance of a Wednesday night trip is essential. Many trips are also held by various members and announced via the list serv. It is recommended that you get on this list.
