Making The Millennium Hello and welcome to the new web site of the Pennsylvania State University Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants. We are proud to introduce you to our organization, as we prepare to enter the new millennium. Our goals for the academic year include: internal and external professional development of our members, innovating our web site to represent our professional presence and providing important information to our visitors, while increasing our corporate presence within and beyond the boundaries of the University. Internal and External Professional Development. We have decided not only to utilize external resources to help in the professional growth of our members, but to make the University and ourselves assets to member involvement and success. Increasing Member Involvement. We are currently a small-sized organization. Nonetheless, our primary focus includes increasing member involvement to its fullest extent so that everyone has the opportunity to take on leadership roles in organizing special events and programs. We value our members' input, as it helps to broaden our focus and imagination to create a comfortable yet professional environment to operate in. Committee Concentration. We currently have three committees to assist in the internal professional development and involvement of our members: (1) The Professional Development and Fundraising (2) Community Service, and (3) Social Membership. Every member is encouraged to participate in at least one committee throughout the academic year. The purpose of this web site is to incorporate our goals, by serving as both an educational and informational resource to our members and visitors. Making the millennium through innovation and imagination signifies the significance of our organization. This web site is a visualization of our professional presence. I encourage you to browse our site and to take full advantage of all our on-line resources. Exceeding your expectations is the purpose of our endeavor. Thank you for visiting. |
