The last ten days of Ramadan gain a prominent significance, as it was during one of these days that the holy book of Muslims, the Quran, was revealed. Muslims throughout the world engage in special prayers that sometimes span the entirety of the night. Finally, the end of Ramadan culminates with the start of the new month Shawwal, the first day of which is also know as Eid-ul-Fitr, where Muslims celebrate the successful completion of a month of fasting.
The day of Eid starts off with a Community prayer, followed by festivities where families and friends visit and dine with each other. It is a day where broken relationships are mended and new ones are formed, a day of happiness for all Muslims.
