Gaza In Our Hearts
As the tragedy continues to unfold, we ask you to please remember your fellow brothers and sisters in Gaza who are without food or shelter and are the sad victims of injustice, brutality, hate, racism and oppression. We cannot even begin to imagine their anguish and pain. It has been ten days since the start of the aggression and the inhumane violence against Palestinians in Gaza, and yet the ruthless slaughtering continues. The death toll is currently over 550, many women and children are among these innocent civilians. Over 2500 lay injured without access to proper medical care, and the numbers only continue to rise.
It is important that as Muslims we do not turn a blind eye to the travesties that are affecting our Muslim brothers and sisters. It is our responsibility as Muslims to keep ourselves updated by following the news daily. Do not limit yourself to Fox news or CNN. We recommend the following news links for a more complete coverage:
Please inform yourself of what is going on today as well as the history behind Gaza. After all, widespread ignorance is partly to blame for the current and past hostility in Gaza. Let's not be as ignorant as much of the world. Let us stand alongside those who are voicing the injustice and resisting inhumanity. Let's not silently sit and watch an entire population decimated.
The best way you can directly help is by donating. Islamic Relief is a reputable, organized international NGO, and one of the very few charity organizations that can enter Gaza Strip right now. IR has no religious or political affiliations, and we encourage you to consider donating to this organization. Every little bit counts, so please give what you can.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency For Palestine Refugees in The Near East (UNRWA) has issued a special appeal for helping in helping the palestenian refugess in Gaza strip. Please join the UNRWA in helping palestenian civilians by donating whatever you can.

We ask all of you to please pray for the deceased, the injured and the future of the people of Gaza.
Eid Mubarak
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha ila Allah
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Wa liAllahi Alhamd
The Muslim Students' Association would like to congratulate all our bothers and sisters here in State College and everywhere around the world for Eid Al-Adha. May Allah accept from us our good deeds.
We ask Allah to bless us during these special days and to accept our good deeds.
Rasulullah (sws) says about these days:”They are days of eating and drinking and remembrance of Allah.” Therefore one should enjoy the halal blessings of Allah during these days and increase their remembrance of Allah. Yes, the halal is to be enjoyed and we are rewarded for this enjoyment. This is a meaning that is sometimes forgotten. But after we enjoy these blessings we need to thank Allah for them. The slaughtering on eid of animals and feeding on what is a gift from Allah demands our gratitude.
So we should remember Allah, praise Him and seek His forgiveness during these moments.
We should also make dua for the Muslims who are struggling in Allah’s cause and the less fortunate who are struggling with poverty around the world.
May Allah accept from our brother and sister the pilgrims and return them safely to their homes. May Allah grant us the opportunity to visit his sacred mosque, and remove the hardship from our Ummah and grant us happiness and success. Amen.
Please check out the Eid Pictures here!
