Old Main We thank you for taking the time to visit our home on the web. Please look around and let us know if you have any questions. On the left you will see the toolbar that has links for all sorts of information. If you are interested in joining Mortar Board we would especially love to hear from you.

Over the last few years, we have emphasized the national organization’s project called “Reading is Leading”. We have collected books on campus and in our local area and given them to various organizations. Most recently, our beneficiary has been a non-profit called BooksFirst, which was started by a Penn State alumnus. Our efforts otherwise provide opportunities and awareness to our members and others about leadership and service initiatives. Our members are always supported in their scholastic goals, and scholarships are available to our members through local and national fellowships.

Additionally, we maintain a very strong partnership with our local alumni group through networking and social activities. We have a lot of fun too! We have after meeting gatherings at local establishments, and we host dinners and brunches as a group. It is really great sharing in the senior experience with a group of people with similar aptitude and drive. Of course, the networking is fantastic and the name Mortar Board is well recognized on resumes.

Please feel free to contact our current president, Caitlin Rush; one of our co-advisors, Meghan Gaffney or Dina Liberatore ; or our membership chairs, Shannon Isaacs or Emily Kowey, with any questions you have about Mortar Board. Thank you!
