MSS Officers, Fall 2010
President
Andrew Cecere, agc5085@psu.edu is a Senior Environmental Resource Management major minoring in Marine Sciences. He is an active science diver and has completed the Science Diving courses that Penn State offers. He also has taken numerous research trips to the Bahamas and Caribbean and is interested in coral reef and marine conservation.
Vice President's
Alexandra Lukasiewicz, ajl5366@psu.edu is a Senior Environmental Resource Management with minors in marine science and music performance. She is currently working for Charles Fisher's deep sea symbiosis lab, and hopes to work in marine conservation and sustainability. She loves scuba diving, nudibranchs, sea urchins, David Attenborough, and singing songs about the ocean.
Laura Dell, lgd114@psu.edu is a Junior Biology major and Marine Science Minor. Laura is currently studying at the University of Southampton National Oceanography Centre in England and will return this July. She will also become certified to scuba next semester so she can hopefully start to science dive. After graduating from Penn State, she hopes to further her education in Oceanography.
Treasurer
Mai Stewart, mes5602@psu.edu is be a Junior Bioengineer with a Material Science option. Mai also has a summer position at the health center at the New York Aquarium in Brooklyn.
Secretary
Erik Kerns, eck5088@psu.edu is a Junior Psychology major with a marine sciences minor. He is a scuba diver and will be vice president of Nittany Divers this upcoming year. Erik also loves fish and is an aquarium specialist at Petco.
Webmaster
Christopher Cioffi, cac5632@psu.edu is a Junior Computer Science major. Being around fish and boats his whole life he is generally interested in Marine Ecosystems and Marine Polution.
Faculty Advisor
Lee Kump, lrk4@psu.edu, is a Professor of Geosciences with research interests in biogeochemical cycles, low- temperature sedimentary geochemistry, and evolution of Earth's ocean and atmosphere. He is the Marine Science Minor advisor, co-ordinator for the Southampton Marine Science Exchange Program, and a Science Diver.
