Regional Conference

The Regional Conference held annually in the fall semester was established to preserve the continuity of the individual MANRRS Chapters in various areas of the country. At the conference, opportunities are provided for brainstorming amongst chapters, conducting regional business, reviewing policy matters, networking, attending leadership workshops, listening to a role model key note speaker, participate in corporate/graduate school recruitment activities, and community building with MANRRS members in our part of the country.

National Conference

This conference held annually in the spring was similarly established for the aforementioned purposes. However, this conference is specifically designed to address the needs of the organization as a whole. The opportunities provided at this conference are similar to those listed above. However, also included are a host of contests for members to participate in and observe. Traditionally, members of MANRA are only offered the opportunity to attend national conference once they have agreed to participate in one of these contests.

A Multicultural Evening

Established as a method for MANRA to meet it's obligation to further educate the Penn State community on diversity issues, A Multicultural Evening (traditionally co-sponsored with the Undergraduate Student Government) provides an opportunity for students to learn about and compare various cultures. Traditionally, food and entertainment from numerous cultures are provided, along with information about various ethnicities. A Multicultural Evening provides an open forum for students from all cultural backgrounds to educate and be educated on the practices of a variety of countries. Through observance and discussion we are also able to assess how individual nations have contributed to the identity of the American culture, and how individual of varying ethic origins are affected by the overall American culture.
