Relay for Life
Relay for Life is a charity benefitting the American Cancer Society and is held in spring. Below is a description from the event's website.
"The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is the biggest celebration on campus for a great cause- fighting back against cancer! This life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. All youth participants are encouraged to raise $100; at Relay, teams camp out overnight, taking turns walking or running around a track. The event is held overnight to represent the day in the life of a cancer patient; just as a cancer patient cannot walk away from cancer neither will our Relay teams; therefore, one person from each team must be on the track at all times. Teams can be made up of friends, dorms, Greek organizations, sports teams, etc."
