IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon

Our organization works year round to raise money in the name of THON. For information about THON you can visit the THON webpage at www.thon.org. We "can" for THON four times a year, and sponsor families who have been affected by cancer. We also participate on THON commitees, the THON 5K, and raise money individually

Muscular Dystrophy Association

The Kappa Alpha Order prides itself for its level of commitment and dedication to the community and those in need. In addition to service and philanthropy locally by each individual chapter, the entire nationwide brotherhood shares the common goal to raise funds and donate time to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Kappa Alpha participates in the MDA Lock-Up, an even that raised over $50,000 dollars for Muscular Dystrophy in 2007.

Pancake Sale

This year, Kappa Alpha and TriDelt combined to raise over $1,000 for charity. We placed advertisements in the paper, put a banner on our house, and placed people on campus to attract attention. Pancakes sold for a dollar each on a Friday night from 11pm-3am.

The Onward Upward Basketball Challenge

The alumni of the Kappa Alpha Order still contribute to Dance Marathon by hosting an annual basketball tournament. The tournament receives donations all year round, and is always looking for teams to particpate. All of the money raised by the challenge is donated to the Four Diamonds Fund.
