Fall Semester Comes to a Close

Eclipse has been working very hard all semester on their Spring 2006 show to Lauryn Hill's "Tell Him." The show is coming along very nicely and everyone is excited to see how the show ends up.

Final orders for Joe Corbi's pizza and cookie dough are due no later than tomorrow (December 6). Anyone interested in ordering please contact Danielle Fenster as soon as possible.
Eclipse would like to say farewell to our president and director Danielle Fenster as she has accepted a spot in the Apex Winterguard for their 2006 season. We all wish her good luck and can not wait to see her perform. She will certainly be missed!

Since Danielle is now spinning with Apex, Erin Ortner has taken over her role as President of Eclipse. Congratulations!
As usual Eclipse will be holding Winter Camp the weekend before the Spring Semester starts. Times and location to be announced shortly.

Good luck to everyone on their finals and have a happy and safe holiday season!

First Show!

Congratulations to Eclipse for a great first show! They performed at Nothern York High School Thursday night as part of Northern's Friends & Family Show. It was a great opportunity for them to show what they have learned so far this season. We have come so far already, but still have a lot left to do!

Eclipse would like to welcome three new members to the guard for the 2006 season. Whitney Whitehead, Lauren Bates, and April Cory have filled holes for us. They have worked very hard to catch up with the rest of the guard and we are very excited to have them join us!

A complete competition schedule has been posted. Our first competition is at the WGI Mid- Atlantic Power Regional in Trenton, New Jersey on February 25.

Our Friends & Family Show will be held in 126 White Building on Sunday, March 19. If there are any groups who wish to perform, please contact Erin Ortner at elo116@psu.edu. We invite any color guard or drumline unit and also any Penn State performance group to join us.

Thanks for a Great Season!

Eclipse ended their 2006 season in Wildwood, New Jersey on May 4 at the TIA All Chapter Championships. They received a score of 78.2 and placed 8th in the Independent A class.

Overall, Eclipse had a great season. The spring went by very quickly as they were filled with competitions every weekend and rehearsals throughout the week. Despite all the difficulties that came our way, all of Eclipse pulled together to make it the best season they possibly could.

As director of Eclipse this past year, I would like to take a moment to personally thank every single person who helped us this year: Jeff Dent, the Cadets Drum & Bugle Corp, Danielle Fenster, Mr. & Mrs. Adshead, Mr. & Mrs. Reavey, Mr. Greene, Mr. & Mrs. Bertolasio, Mr. & Mrs. Ortner, Mr. & Mrs. McLaughlin, Adam Brooks, Mary Catherine & Lisa (for sewing our flags), and anyone else who I may have missed. A special thanks to all of my officers, Pat, and Tucker because without you Eclipse might not have survived the season.

The new Eclipse officers for the 2006- 2007 are:
President/ Director & Webmaster-
Erin Ortner
Vice President/ Captain & Fundraising Chair-
Danielle Greene
Treasurer- April Cory
Secretary-Whitney Whitehead

Our instructional staff will include Michelle Bertolasio & Jeannette Reavey.

Eclipse would like to wish good luck to its members who will not be returning next year. Thank you for spending your years with Eclipse, we will miss you!! For all the returning members, we look forward to an exciting new season!
