About Us
Welcome to Penn State Eclipse Winter Guard. Below are messages from our President and our Vice President to help you become acquainted with our team.
A message from our president:
Hello to all prospective members, fans, and friends! My name is Samantha Flatley, and I am the president of Penn State's 2012 Eclipse Winter Guard, a team made up of hard-working students aspiring to be successful performers. Our mission is to give performers the chance to show audiences their complete potential and to discover talents they never knew they had while making friends and memories that will last a lifetime. The 2011 season left Eclipse as a finalist in the Scholastic-Intermediate A class at the All Chapter Championships in Wildwood, New Jersey. The team hopes to move upward this season and has set high goals. We hope to have all of you supporting us and cheering us on as we take on new challenges and obstacles. Thank you so much for all your support! We are .. PENN STATE!
A message from our vice president:
Hello and thank you all for your interest in Penn State Eclipse Winter Guard. My name is Jeffery Forshey and I will be serving as the Vice-President for the 2012 competitive season. My personal mission and goal for this team is to Rebuild & Strengthen the Penn State Eclipse Winter Guard Program. While doing so I would like To Pass on Knowledge & passion of The Color guard sport to college athletes. I believe the heart of any team is founded from unity. Before you can produce a well-structured performance ensemble, one must unify the individuals as a whole. Eclipse has a well-developed unifying process. "One team, one heart, one mind." As all our fans and friends know, each Eclipse performance starts with our team saying, "We are One, We are Eclispe, We are Penn State!!!"
