Frank McGuigan
Ensemble Coordinator

Frank has been an active marching percussion instructor and clinician since 1999 as well as the battery percussion coordinator at Spring-Ford HS since 2000. In the WGI arena, Frank was an instructor at Aftermath Percussion in their 2004 and 2005 seasons winning a PIO Silver Medal, and was the group's director and battery arranger in 2006. Frank has also been on the percussion staff of the Jersey Surf Drum and Bugle Corps, serving as their interim percussion Section Manager in 2006, and as the snare technician in the 2007, 2008, and upcoming 2009 seasons. Additionally, Frank has also served as an instructor or consultant with various marching percussion programs throughout southeastern Pennsylvania, including North Penn HS, Methacton HS, Daniel Boone HS, Radnor HS, Archbishop Carroll HS, Downingtown HS, and West Chester University.

A member of the National Judges Association, Frank is a certified Percussion caption judge for the Tournament of Bands, and has also judged indoor percussion for the New England Scholastic Band Association. He is an official endorser of Vic Firth Sticks and Mallets and is a member of the Vic Firth Education Team program as a Marching Percussion Specialist.

Frank's performance experience includes 5 seasons with The Reading Buccaneers (2000-'04), as a member of the snare line and the front ensemble. He was also a member of Aftermath Percussion (2001-'03) playing snare and quads.
