While stepping down from his role as director following the 2008 season and
three consecutive WGI medals, Brett Baker by far will not be a stranger to the
Penn State Indoor Drumline. His experience reshaping the organization
over the past few years will continue to assist the new director and staff in
making 2009 a continuation of previous year's successes.
Brett's marching experience includes: the Penn State Marching Blue Band
(1999-2003), the Penn State Indoor Drumline (2000, 2002), the Bluecoats Drum
and Bugle Corps (2000), the Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps (2001-2002), and the
Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps (2007). During Brett's performance
career, Penn State Indoor was awarded champion of the Independent
Open class of WGI (2000), the Cadets were awarded the Fred Sanford High
Percussion Award in DCI (2001 - 2002), and the Buccaneers were awarded High
Percussion Champions in DCA (2007).
Brett's teaching experience includes 2 years with the Caballeros Drum and Bugle
Corps as a snare tech (2003-2004). With Penn State Brett was the snare tech and
staff coordinator in 2005 and director for the 2006, 2007, 2008 seasons.
Brett graduated from Penn State University in 2004 with Bachelors Degrees in
Business Logistics and Psychology. Brett currently resides in Hummelstown, PA
and is employed by The Hershey Company. Brett wishes the best to everyone
involved with PSU Indoor this season.
