Girl Scout Workshop

GWIS members, in collaboration with Campus Girl Scouts, organize an afternoon of science-oriented activities to help local girl scouts earn new badges.

  The group in 2009 studied these topics (Eco-Action):
  • Studying environmental issues
  • Incorporating eco-action steps in daily life
  • Recycling and Energy saving actions
  • And learning about alternatve energy



  The group in 2008 studied these topics (Oceanography):
  • Performing water distillation
  • Testing water quality
  • A hands-on study of ocean creatures
  • And learning how modern technology uses the ocean for energy
