Sir Francis Bacon once said “Knowledge is power”. As firm believers in that quote, GlobeMed Penn State devotes approximately 1/3 of its time and efforts to educating and training young leaders with an interest in the global health field. We believe that educating ourselves and others, along with raising awareness, are two of the key factors in creating a change.
Please take the time to browse our site. We have an extensive list of books related to global health topics. In addition, we focus on a particular news brief every week, which is discussed during our weekly meetings.
In addition, we participate in many conferences and other learning opportunities. In the beginning of April, members can participate in the National Board’s Summit in Evanston, Ill, GlobeMed Penn State will be hosting our own conference.
