Indentify the injustices of our Global Health system and it affects other areas such as education, the economy, etc.

Consider global health issues which affect us closer to home. What is the US health care system/policy? Who does it concern? What does it fail to do?

Our Country’s Role in Global Health/ Politics of Global Health:

Is the United States responsible for the health care in other countries? What are we/should we be doing?

Analyze the relationship between individual and populations’ rights and their effect on health.

Invisible Disease:

This workshop will examine the various countries affected greatly by diseases which are unseen to the eye or just not on our minds (Africa- AIDS is a “synonymous relationship” but what about other diseases such as cardiovascular disease).

Social Stigma and Medical Treatment:

Study how social stigma can affect the treatment of a people. Do societal beliefs prevent people from accessing the health care they need?
