Amita Patel , Co-Chair of the Executive Board

My name is Amita Patel, and I am a sophomore at Penn State. With majors of political science and criminology, I aspire to be a lawyer. However, I became involved with GlobeMed because it appealed to students of all majors. I have no interest in medicine as a profession, but I feel that as part of the younger generation, I have the responsibility and capability of being the change I want to see in the world. I am looking forward to a great year for GlobeMed!

Hillary Darville , Director of Fundraising and Development

GlobeMed has had a huge impact on my life. Before GlobeMed, I was a Communications major, completely at a loss as to what I wanted to do with my life. After attending the PSU Global Health Conference, I recognized the passion I had for public health, but more importantly the passion I had for public health for all humans. My life has suddenly taken a huge turn down a road I never would have imagined. I am thrilled, intimidated, and a bit anxious, but I know that with hard work and determination, I can be apart of the changes that need to be made in global healthcare. After graduating from Penn State, I plan on attending graduate school in Public Health, and later working for a non-profit or government organization promoting sustainable healthcare around the world.

Robyn Cree, Director of Education and Training

My name is Robyn Cree and I am a senior majoring in Biobehavioral Health with a minor in Psychology. I hope to attend graduate school for a masters in Genetic Counseling after graduating from Penn State this spring. I joined GlobeMed because it is one of the few organizations on campus that provides meaningful service to others, while at the same time educates its members about social and cultural contexts. I feel this education allows our club to truly make sustainable differences in the lives of those we serve.
