Commissioning is a detailed process that requires a great deal of attention and information.  Begin the process as early as possible and remember the latest your Request for Appointment (RFA) can be received by districts is 100 days from your requested date.  Therefore, if you commission in the beginning of May your RFA should be complete and Fed Ex'ed to districts no later then the beginning of February.

You will need to complete a dental check up, HIV test, background investigation, and a medical pre-screening document.  Rita also needs time to compile this information so you should allow plenty of time to gather and organize the appropriate forms for your commissioning - THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!  Capt. Ruiz, Gunny Shell and Rita will help you and guide you, but they should not have to hold your hand - you will soon be a leader of Marines.

To the right are links to the actual Letter of Instruction (LOI) for your RFA, a link to MOS selection for officers and medical data for pilots.  Contact Capt Ruiz or Gunny Shell to receive further instruction on any of these topics.
