Borek is a traditional Turkish dish which is mainly made with pastry sheets. You can make borek with cheese, potatoes, spinach, ground beef, lentils, leeks etc.

 

If you are cooking for your guests, generally borek is not a main dish since in Tuskish cuisine there are many other dishes you serve and generally the meat dishes are considered as main dishes.

 

However, borek is a very good main dish if you are cooking for yourself and for your family.

In Turkey, you drink Turkish tea or yogurt drink with borek.
