American English Class
Begins Friday, August 28, 6:15pm at the Chinese Church
Friday American English Class for men and women begins on Friday, August 28, 6:15-7:15pm at the State College Chinese Church, located at 1107 William Street on the corner of Easterly Parkway & William Street. This class is taught on an intermediate level in small groups by Ben & Cathy Bidelspach, Joe & Laura Sullivan, Fred Widmann, Rebecca Sharpless and others. You will learn many idioms and slang included in stories about American history and American culture. This class is especially helpful for newcomers to Penn State.
Rides are provided from the Pattee Library between 5:45-6:00pm to the Chinese Church for the American English class. Following the American English class a Chinese meal will be provided for those who wish to stay for this English Bible class or the Chinese Fellowship and Chinese Bible studies. We will also provide rides for you to return home or to campus following these classes. Women's Conversational English Class
Begins Thursday, September 10, 9:30-11:00am, at Park Forest Baptist Church
The Thursday Conversational English class for women begins on Thursday morning, September 10, 9:30-11:00am at Park Forest Baptist Church, located at 3030 Carnegie Drive near Valley Vista Drive. This is a great opportunity for women who are not students who want to improve their English language skills. This class will be taught by Cathy Bidelspach who uses a variety of teaching methods including discussions, games, drama, cooking etc. Rides are available.
